Coinbase Wallet Rolls Out US Stock Trading With 24/5 Access

Coinbase Wallet has rolled out stock and ETF trading for all users in the United States, allowing customers to buy, sell, and manage equities alongside their crypto holdings within a single account. The new feature offers 24-hour trading, five days a week, with zero commission fees.

The company stated that users can fund stock trades instantly using USD or USDC. Coinbase One members will receive uncapped rewards on their USDC trading balances. Fractional share access is also available, enabling stock purchases starting from as little as $1.

According to the announcement, thousands of equities are now accessible for extended-hours trading. The firm said it plans to expand its 24/5 stock offering to additional securities in the coming months. Outside the U.S., Coinbase intends to broaden access to stock perpetuals this spring, allowing eligible traders to gain round-the-clock exposure to U.S. equities.

Looking ahead, the company outlined plans to introduce tokenized stocks. This would allow users to trade globally, use equity holdings as on-chain collateral, and facilitate payments backed by stock value.

As part of the rollout, Coinbase has partnered with Yahoo Finance. The collaboration allows users researching assets on Yahoo Finance to move directly to executing trades on Coinbase. Yahoo Finance will also integrate real-time market data sourced from Coinbase. Additionally, Yahoo Finance users are eligible for a one-month free trial of Coinbase One Basic under the agreement.

The expansion forms part of Coinbase’s broader strategy to combine traditional financial products and digital assets within one platform, as the company works toward its “Everything Exchange” model aimed at unifying multiple asset classes in a single trading environment.
